THE NARRATIVE AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS

Threats to freedom of speech, writing and action, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect and, unless checked, lead to a general disrespect for the rights of the citizen. -George Orwell

Elisabeth Hasselbeck unloads about Rosie rejoining 'The View'; predicts Whoopi, Rosie war
It looks as if Rosie O'Donnell is coming back to "The View," and former rival Elisabeth Hasselbeck isn't holding back her opinion about it.
According to TMZ, O'Donnell has reached an agreement with ABC to join Whoopi Goldberg next year as a permanent host of the daytime talk show.
O'Donnell was a host on the show in 2006, leaving after a tumultuous one year run which saw the comedian promote 9/11 conspiracy theories and declare that "radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam."
A period shared with current Hasselbeck, now the co-host of "Fox and Friends." The Fox morning crew contacted Hasselbeck Wednesday by phone - she's on vacation - to get her take on Rosie's return.
"What could ruin a vacation more than to hear news like this," Hasselbeck told her colleagues. "I know Rosie very well - we worked quite closely - talk about not securing the border, here in comes to The View the very woman who has spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network and, really, in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debate for the time she was there, coming back with a bunch of control."
Hasselbeck said Rosie's return to the show has been in the works, pointing to Barbara Walters' farewell show, which she said was actually O'Donnell's "hello show."
As for Rosie sharing the stage with Whoopi, Hasselbeck offered a little advice.
"I don't think it would be wise for Rosie to challenge Whoopi on anything," she said.
