THE NARRATIVE AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS

Threats to freedom of speech, writing and action, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect and, unless checked, lead to a general disrespect for the rights of the citizen. -George Orwell

Blinky Pelosi: We're Not Running On or From ObamaCare in Midterms
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi admitted that Democrats won't be talking about Obamacare much as they head into the 2014 midterm elections.
"We're not running on or from the Affordable Care Act," she said in an interview with Vox founder Ezra Klein.
Pelosi reminded Klein that the health care reform law signed by the president was called the "Affordable Care Act," not Obamacare, and suggested that Republicans were making a mistake by running against it.
"I think it turns out to be a wash," Pelosi said, adding that the law had "lost some of it's weight" as a political issue.
Pelosi said that Democrats should continue to talk about improving the law, noting that when the bill passed, she already wanted to expand it.
"Of course I wanted single payer, and I wanted public option" Pelosi chuckled, looking back at when the bill first passed.
