THE NARRATIVE AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS

Threats to freedom of speech, writing and action, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect and, unless checked, lead to a general disrespect for the rights of the citizen. -George Orwell

VISITS TO OBAMACARE EXCHANGE SITE PLUMMET

ObamaCare's newly launched website lost nearly 88% of visitors in its first two weeks of operation.

The numerous glitches on HealthCare.gov prevented many users from applying for health insurance under ObamaCare, the Washington Post reported.

Out of the 9.47 million unique visitors to the website in the first week, only one million were able to register for an account. Meanwhile, 271,000 successfully logged into their accounts, 196,000 began enrollment, but only 36,000 - less than 1% of visitors - were able to fully enroll.

The website glitches plaguing the disastrous roll out of the Dear Leader's glorious health care "reform" law aren't just an ObamaCare problem, they're a government problem.

The federal government spends more than $80 billion per year on information technology, but the resulting error-plagued websites often take years to build and are glitchy once they launch. That's because instead of hiring savvy Silicon Valley programmers - like those who worked on websites for Obama's campaigns - to build the systems, the government tends to contract with firms that are better at securing contracts than they are at developing web sites.

When the government launched healthcare.gov, the site where Americans can buy health coverage through the exchanges, few were able to get past error screens and long wait times. While loyal regime apparatchiks claimed a big reason for the glitches was "overwhelming demand," IT experts told Reuters that the problems were more likely the result of a problem in the system's design.
