Lena Dunham, embattled of late over her bizarre tales of acting like a "sexual predator" with her baby sister, disappeared from Twitter for a while following a self-described "rage spiral" when Truth Revolt posted excerpts of her book.
But she has returned after a week off -- with a whole new look.
I am goth now and frankly, it feels amazing
— Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) November 12, 2014
The new look inspired TMZ to post a tweet on its "politics" page.
And, of course, Miss Dunham returned with her high-brow humor intact.
Just picked my nose in front of a male model. My special way of saying "I don't CARE how tall you are/about your cashmere beanie."👊
— Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) November 14, 2014
If you're worried about the controversy's impact on her self-esteem, fear not. She's intact.
@SenTedCruz you and whoever wrote this tweet for you, I beg of you...stick your heads in a bucket of liquid nitrogen

Anyone who cares about how our county is run, should see the Jonathan Gruber interview. Rarely, do you get this kind of honesty.

Re: Lerner remarks to @politico: The American people deserve the opportunity to hear Lois Lerner testify under oath.

If Lois Lerner had nothing to hide and did nothing wrong in the #IRStargeting scandal, she would have chosen to answer basic questions.

A woman from South London has married her dog in a bizarre ceremony in Croatia, following a failed marriage to a human man.
Amanda Rodgers married her dog Sheba in front of 200 people in March, and subsequently appeared on ITV's "This Morning" to discuss the matter, the Daily Mirror reported.
Rodger's, 47, explained: "Sheba had been in my life for years, making me laugh and comforting me when I was feeling low," she said. "I couldn’t think of anything more I’d need from a life partner."
"She was two weeks old and she was new to the world - but I fell in love with her," Amanda said, when asked if they fell in love at first sight.
"I knew that we were meant to be." The ceremony ended with a kiss between the pair. Rodgers said it was the perfect way to mark what Sheba means to her.
"There are different kinds of love - my love for Sheba is very deep. We have a deep connection."
National Review's Eliana Johnson joins Greg Corombos to discuss Howard Dean urging Dems to run on ObamaCare, evidence that Lois Lerner communicated with the Justice Dept. about punishing Conservative groups, and Anthony Weiner claiming it's none of our business if he's still sexting.
Larry Noble, a law professor now with the Soros-funded Campaign Legal Center, was cited in the emails as someone agitating to jail conservatives who "falsely" report on IRS forms that they are not engaged in political speech. Lerner talked about setting up meetings with Justice Department election lawyers who wanted to talk about making Noble's dreams a reality - this after Senator Sheldon Whitehouse raised the idea of criminal charges for conservatives who are not sufficiently quiet, charges that they falsely completed an IRS tax exemption form.
Their theory is a favorite among speech regulators inthe Soros-funded left and academia. It goes like this: "Too much speech is bad (unless unions do it.)Groups who talk about things leftists find uncomfortable are necessarily political and thus should never have 501(c) tax exempt status. Criminally charge any group that said on their IRS tax exempt form that they were not political if they say things the left finds uncomfortable. Get Eric Holder’s Justice Department on the case."
The emails obtained by Judicial Watch reveal this is essentially what was going on behind the scenes at the IRS, DOJ, and with outside leftist interests.
A Minnesota college has launched a campaign to warn students about the "oppressive impact" of offensive language such as "wuss" and "you guys."
The More Than Words: Inclusive Language Campaign was created by Macalester College's Department of Multicultural Life in order to "raise awareness about the importance of using inclusive language." The campaign includes a series of YouTube videos and posters around campus.
"I don't consciously do it, but I'll say 'You guys!' or 'We should do something together, guys!' and I don't even consciously...like, usually I'm addressing a group of all girls," a Macalester College University student said in a video in August.
"Our culture is heterosexist, it's racist, it's patriarchal. It's transphobic, homophobic, ageist, ableist," SooJin Pate, a Visiting Assistant Professor of American Studies, said in another video.
"Our language...not only reflects that culture but also creates it," she continued.
Former President Bill Clinton will "campaign" with Kentucky Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes starting next week. It should come as no surprise to anyone that Clinton is up for some hot "campaigning" with the daughter of his good friend, Jerry Lundergan. They've made movies about such fantasies...
According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, Clinton is planning a "fundraiser" on Tuesday night during which Lundergan Grimes will do her thing and get paid by many wealthy men...prices ranging from $500 to $5,200.
We last heard from Mel Reynolds when he launched his "Redemption" campaign to win back his Congressional seat in a special election, after Jesse Jackson Jr's conviction on corruption charges. Jackson originally won the seat in a special election after Reynolds' conviction on statutory-rape charges, later adding corruption charges before Bill Clinton commuted his sentence at the end of his presidency. Reynolds didn't make much of an impact on the House race, but instead began traveling to promote tourism...or so he claims now, after being arrested in Zimbabwe on pornography charges:
The state-controlled newspaper, The Herald, reported that Reynolds was arrested Monday for allegedly possessing pornographic material and violating immigration laws.
Reynolds, an Illinois Democrat, resigned from his congressional seat in 1995 after he was convicted of 12 counts of statutory rape, obstruction of justice and solicitation of child pornography.
The CBS affiliate in Chicago has a slightly more detailed account of the allegations being lodged against the former Democratic Congressman:
Another source told the paper Reynolds had filmed more than 100 videos, and shot 2,000 nude pictures of at least 10 different women on various occasions. The paper also said he owes more than $24,000 in unpaid hotel bills.
The Herald reported Reynolds entered Zimbabwe last year, purporting to be a middleman for foreign investors in the tourism industry.
The Hill, which is the only news outlet to note his party affiliation, also reports that Reynolds also stayed past the time limits on his visa. Zimbabwean officials confiscated his travel documents, which Reynolds claims to have misplaced but just recently rediscovered.
What's the lesson from this? First, perhaps this is yet another clemency action for which Bill Clinton should answer, as Reynolds appears not to have rehabilitated much if these allegations turn out to be true. Second, Chicago chose wisely enough not to buy the idea that just because a politician puts the word REDEMPTION on a campaign sign, he's owed his public office back. As I wrote at the time, redemption is always a possibility, but a position of public trust isn't the measure of it, nor the required reward.
In recent days, Wellesley College - an all-women's college - has been graced with the public, outdoor presence of a hyper-realistic statue of a sleepwalking man in his tighty-whitey underwear. The statue, by Tony Matelli, is meant to market a new exhibit at the campus's Davis Museum, but for some the statue is much more than an advertisement.
"Within just a few hours of its outdoor installation, the highly lifelike sculpture by Tony Matelli, entitled 'Sleepwalker,' has become a source of apprehension, fear, and triggering thoughts regarding sexual assault for some members of our campus community," senior Lauren Walsh - allegedly using another student's name - wrote in a Change.org petition to remove the statue. "While the sculpture may not trigger, disturb, or bother everyone," it nevertheless must be moved, Zoe says, because it disturbs some members of the community.
"This is a monument to rape culture and it should not even have to be said that it does NOT belong at a woman's college," Owen Lloyd writes.
"Some students can find this inappropriate, and we shouldn't force those students to walk by the statue every day." Elaine Kim adds.
Another respondent, Magdalena Zebracka, registered her objection with a more academic tone: "Matelli's statue does not speak to the power of art to inspire dialogue but rather to the power of the nearly nude, white, male body to disturb and discomfit...What does this statue do if not remind us of the fact of male privilege every single time we pass it, every single time we think about it, every single time we are forced to acknowledge its presence. As if we need any more reminders."
As of this writing, the petition garnered 723 signatures out of its goal of 1,000.
University of Tennessee (UT), a public school, has announced the schedule for its second annual Sex Week, complete with lectures on orgasms as a political act and masturbation.
One event, "Get Wet: Exploring the Connections Between Sexual Pleasure, Health, & Advocacy" will ask students "When is an orgasm a political act? When is lube a tool of the revolution?" The event description promises that host Megan Andelloux will "demonstrate how three components of sexuality - pleasure, health, and advocacy - flow into one another as we explore a variety of topics centered on reproductive justice and sexual freedom."
The event will also inform students "which sexual health issues are involved in back-door lovin', why you should care about sex workers' rights, and how you can defend your own sexual freedom through self-love."
Another event, "We Can't Stop: Orgasms and Masturbation" asks"How do you masturbate?" and promises that "Dr. Lindsey Doe will give us all a hand on this often frustrating topic."
Other events will include "My Milkshake Brings All the Boys to the Yard: Aphrodisiac Cooking Class," "Drop It Like It's Hot: Sex Week Dance Class."
Moving past gay marriage, ABC News on Monday pushed the "gospel" of polyamory, having multiple romantic and sexual partners in an open relationship. Co-anchor Dan Harris hyped, "More couples opting to become triples or fourples. Live-in lovers spicing up the marital bed, even helping raise the children."
Harris opened the segment by lecturing, "Just for a minute, let's do a thought experiment. Let's set aside all of the emotion and consider whether the evangelists for open marriage might have a point." Reporter Nick Watt profiled Michael, Kamela and Rachel, a threesome "couple" that has sex with numerous people, all while raising a child. Watt described, "They're spreading the gospel of polyamory, hoping to speed up societal acceptance of this kind of set-up."
Watt could only manage the most meager criticism of polyamory. Talking to sexual psychologist Karen Stewart, he offered, "Watching your spouse having sex with somebody else is not really my bag, I've got to say."
This isn't the first time ABC has promoted polyamory. On January 4, 2012 Good Morning America touted the sex games of a "modern" family who date within their "species."
The University of Maryland (UMD) hosted a sex workshop on Tuesday, in which student attendees were given explicit instructions on how to perform a number of sex acts using sex toys and "fetish gear."
In the exclusive Campus Reform video, Jessica VonDyke, the owner of a local Washington D.C., sex shop called The Garden, appears instructing students on a number of racy topics including the proper use of cock rings, sex toys, hygiene, lube, anal toys, and prostate play.
"It's also good for prostate play, you can put it in people's butts," VonDyke told students, brandishing a a large sterling silver object.
"Items like this, which are actually kind of like art pieces, like you could totally leave this out on the coffee table when your mom comes over and she would never know," she said.
VonDyke also explained the benefits of wooden sex toys.
VonDyke, a self-identified "poly, queer femme," according to the university's official event's description, also discussed the details of her own sex life - including how often her partner gets yeast infections.
They're well matched. One's an obnoxious hard-left attention-seeker whom nobody likes, and the other's Anthony Weiner.
Fifteen minutes is a lot to ask but trust me when I tell you that the second clip's more enjoyable than the first. This is the most entertaining vid you'll watch online today — with the possible exception of Weiner's concession speech, which should go live sometime around 9 p.m. ET and which, with nothing left to lose, may finally see him drop all pretenses of candidate decorum. (Fingers crossed!) Ace thinks Scary Larry's belligerence is being driven by Democratic servility to the Clintons, with O'Donnell doing his part to neutralize an "unhelpful" storyline regarding Her Majesty's star aide before 2016. I don't know. If you're going to ceremonially banish a guy from public life, logically you'd want the banisher to be less of an insufferable jackhole than the banishee. Right? To get the audience to condone ritual shaming, you need them to identify with the shamer. Watch the clips and tell me: By the time this car crash is over, is there anyone who doesn’t like Weiner more than O'Donnell?
Even worse is that Weiner, because he's quick on his feet and unpredictable, is better on TV than Larry is. Coming soon to MSNBC: "The Last Word with Anthony Weiner"?
I think Jason's like - this is horrible of me - I want to say 28. He's the closest in age out of all of my siblings.
If I were a certain kind of older brother in this situation, I'd maybe want to kick some ass. Does Jason have the taste for Weiner blood in his mouth right now?
Actually, no. Both of my brothers have always been very protective of me, but they also know that I can definitely handle myself in any situation. They've seen that I've handled all of this pretty well and they're like, "You're an adult. Make your own decisions. Do what makes you happy."
Back to what you do for a living. Let's say I'm your boyfriend's father. Then how do you answer that question?
Oh my god. See, that's terrible. I have no idea.
Have you thought about that?
I haven't. I've been single for a while, too, so I guess that's probably part of the reason. I really have no idea.
I'm not a fan of Russell Brand but I have to admit it: I love how he intimidates the hell out of Mika and the others and literally takes over their pathetic little show. This video has already gotten more views than Morning Joe gets in a two-month period.
Actor and comedian Russell Brand paid a visit to the Morning Joe set, which co-host Mika Brzezinski admitted made her nervous. While the segment - intended to promote his comedy tour "Messiah Complex" - started out with compliments all around, Brand soon took over, showed them how they should be doing their jobs, and… ended by calling Brzezinski a "shaft grasper."
I really think Michelle Malkin has said it best: "...liberals see racism where it doesn't exist, fabricate it when they can't find it, and ignore it within their own ranks."The same goes for all the other "isms"about which the Left is obsessed.
The latest example took place two weeks ago at the University of Wyoming.
The University of Wyoming Police Department says Meg Lanker-Simons created the anonymous threat of sexual violence targeted at her on social media last week.
The university announced Tuesday that campus police cited Lanker-Simons for misdemeanor interference with a police investigation.
Lanker-Simons accused an anonymous source of posting a threat of rape on the Facebook page "UW Crushes" on April 24. But the citation issued Monday claims Lanker-Simons admitted to making the post, then lying about it.
The UW senior told the Star-Tribune on Tuesday that the police accusations were untrue. Lanker-Simons said she retained legal counsel and filed an entry-of-appearance plea of not guilty. The citation set a court date for May 13. Charles Pelkey, Lanker-Simons' attorney, declined to comment.
UW Crushes was a forum designed for students to anonymously write about their love interests and sexual desires. UW administrators have since had the page removed. Prior to its removal, anyone could have signed into a Facebook account, gone to UW Crushes and secretly submitted a comment via a link to surveymonkey.com. The posts were then made public on Facebook.
As the anonymous fake Rethuglican, Lanker-Simons wrote:
"I want to hatefuck Meg Lanker Simons so hard. That chick that runs her liberal mouth all the time and doesn't care who knows it. I think its hot and it makes me angry. One night with me and shes gonna be a good Republican bitch."
Then Lanker-Simons saw what she had written and decided to bravely and snarkily reply to the anonymous fake Rethuglican dude for everybody to see:
"Actually, I want this to stay up. This is disgusting, misogynistic, and apparently something the admins of this page think is a perfectly acceptable sentiment - particularly seeing as there's no disclaimer about "not being responsible for content" (because they are) or "content not endorsed" (so I assume it is), etc. Remember, there was a creeper that took the time to think this up and type it, but it took an admin to publish it. Even if it's taken down, I'm left to wonder if there's someone out there with a violent fantasy about me - and likely other women."
To the person who wrote this: Assuming you're serious, get some help. Please. If the only way you can relate to women is through your sexual organs and anger, I encourage you to visit the UW Counseling center post-haste. It is in room 341 in Knight Hall, (307) 766-2187. Instead of focusing on how angry and turned on me "running my mouth" makes you, perhaps you should listen instead. You might learn something.
The website Urbandictionary.comdefines "hatefuck" as a verb meaning "to have sex, especially in a rough manner, with someone who one finds physically attractive but personally loathsome."
While I suspect her real purpose was to embarrass the administrators of UW Crushes while creating an opportunity for public protests, it's clear that Lanker-Simons enjoyed the opportunity to make believe that some Republican dude wasactually fantasizing about her. What a vivid imagination she has!
As intended, the online "threat" to Lanker-Simons, a well-known liberal blogger and radio host, caused considerable outrage, especially from her fans. The "threat"sparked "rape-culture" awareness protests last Monday, April 29, at the university.
Meanwhile, the police had obtained awarrant to search Lanker-Simons' computer and found "substantial evidence" the threat was created on her computer while it was in her possession, according to a media release from the university. She also lied to the police, which is the reason for the citation.
Megyn Kelly and Katherine Timpf of Campus Reform had some fun with this story last Friday. Timpf wrote:
According to a Facebook page that apparently belongs to Lanker-Simons she is a member of the University of Wyoming Gender & Women's Studies group as well as the school’s chapter of The Nonviolent Communist.
Since police cited her, supporters have a constructed a Facebook page entitled "Meg Lanker-Simons is innocent."
"Meg Lanker-Simons is innocent we believe what she did was justified and deserves not to be held accountable for her accusations we stand behind you sister," reads that page’s description.
Lanker-Simons was in the news in 2010 when she was a plaintiff in a successful lawsuit against UW after it retracted its invitation to have Bill Ayers speak on campus.
Here's an article concerning Lanker-Simons and Ayers. Not surprisingly, she claimed that she received "death threats" for that as well.
Her award winning Tumblr pagehas moved to an undisclosed location.
As I said at the top, this is merely the latesthate crime hoax outrage. Here's an article from last month about a college student who actually used Craigslist to find a man to beat her up and have sex with her so that she could then claim that she was raped on campus.
Triplett, 20, a student at University of California-Santa Barbara, allegedly posted two abuser-wanted ads in the Santa Cruz County region of Craigslist. In both, she promised she wouldn't file charges.
The one seeking somebody to shoot her in the shoulder in exchange for sex didn't pan out. However, Triplett did find someone willing to "punch, kick and bruise her in exchange for sex," reports the Register-Pajaronian.
Triplett met her unnamed mangler somewhere on or near the UC Santa Cruz campus, reports local NBC affiliate KSBW.
According to court records, "they had sex and afterwards she used a cellphone screen reflection as a mirror to see if the injuries were bad enough. (Triplett) then directed him to hit her some more."
With fresh bruises to substantiate her twisted tale, Triplett then notified 911 that a mysterious assailant had raped and pummeled her while she was walking on a path looking for banana slugs (the UCSC mascot, incidentally).
Prosecutor Johanna Schonfield noted that local law enforcement had wasted countless hours investigating the fraudulent crime.
As the article points out, creating needless busy work for the authorities is just another poisonous byproduct of the left-wing nutjobs who perpetrate them. It takes away time that could be spent investigating real crimes.
Some hate-crime hoaxers have motives that are more personal than political. The New York Times, reporting in 1988 on the grand-jury report in the Tawana Brawley hoax, noted that "evidence suggested that she may have feared the wrath of her mother's boyfriend for her late nights out." In 1998 Associated Press reported that Cornelius Weaver, a black Louisiana man who claimed he had been dragged behind a car by three white men - similar to what actually happened to a black Texan named James Byrd - recanted and admitted he had invented the story to cover up a drug deal that went bad.
Finally, Michelle Malkin has written extensivelyabout the Left's history of staging hate-crime hoaxes. Follow the link to see a list of these false flag operations.
