THE NARRATIVE AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS

Threats to freedom of speech, writing and action, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect and, unless checked, lead to a general disrespect for the rights of the citizen. -George Orwell

THREE MARTINI LUNCH: NOVEMBER 6, 2014

National Review's Jim Geraghty joins host Greg Corombos to discuss current events. Today's topics: More reaction to the GOP midterm wave, President Obama challenges Republicans on amnesty, and he refuses to "read the tea leaves" about why Democrats got hammered.

David Axelrod to Obama: 'Shelve' Executive Amnesty
The man who may be most responsible for President Barack Obama's rise and eventual ascendancy to the White House is urging him not to enact executive amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.
On Wednesday, after Republicans shellacked Democrats in the midterms, David Axelrod, Obama's former chief political adviser who had been with him since Obama's 2004 Illinois Senate campaign, said Obama should "shelve" his executive amnesty.
Obama is unlikely to listen to Axelrod, who is now the director of the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics. At a press conference Wednesday, Obama vowed to move forward with executive amnesty, even though voters rejected his immigration agenda on Tuesday.
