EWTN NEWS NIGHTLY: JUNE 24, 2014

EWTN News Nightly's Brian Patrick discusses the day's news. As the violence in Iraq continues, Laura Cole reports on John Kerry's efforts to prevent the creation of an independent Kurdish state. The Islamic terror group Boko Haram has committed additional atrocities -- Wyatt Goolsby provides details. Brian is joined in studio by Travis Weber, director of the FRC's Center for Religious Liberty and Matthew Clark of the ACLJ to discuss new developments in the story of the persecuted Sudanese Christian woman, Meriam Ibrahim. Meanwhile new Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has refused to pardon three Al-Jazeera journalists sentenced to 7 years in jail on terrorism charges.
