Dismal Ratings Put MSNBC's 'Ronan Farrow Daily' on Chopping Block
As the New York Daily News reports, MSNBC's Ronan Farrow may be sharing the same fate as Alec Baldwin and Keith Olbermann. Sources reveal that the one-month-old Ronan Farrow Daily show is facing cancellation.
While Baldwin was rejected from his show for a "homophobic tirade," and Olbermann was fired due to contract squabbles and a failing relationship with management, Farrow just stinks.
"He sort of stinks on TV," an MSNBC source told Confidenti@l. "He hasn't turned out to be the superstar they were hoping for."
On Wednesday, ratings revealed that Farrow was averaging a mere 312,000 total viewers.
Wednesday's show tanked to number 708 among all Nielsen-ranked programming, in both total viewers and the 18-to-49 age, a demographic crucial to advertisers. How bad is 708th place? This bad: the midnight airing of Baggage on the Game Show Network came in ahead of it at number 707, and the 8 a.m. Golden Girls on the Hallmark Channel, a thirty-year-old sitcom starring the late Bea Arthur, came in ahead at number 700.Also read: Ronan Farrow's MSNBC Show Goofs Again on Graphic
