Poll: 99% Don't Care About Obama/Media Pet 2014 Issues
A Quinnipiac poll released last week is a stark reminder of just how out of touch President Obama and the mainstream media are when it comes to the concerns and priorities of everyday Americans. Anyone at all familiar with the issues Obama and his media intend to push in 2014, knows that it is going to be a year all about income inequality, the minimum wage, immigration, and guns. This, even though 99% of the public do not consider those issues a priority.
When Quinnipiac asked voters "What do you think should be the top priority for President Obama and Congress in 2014?" -- income inequality earned 1%, class inequality earned 1%, gun issues earned 1%, and immigration earned only 2%.
More bad news for a media desperate to further their Global Warming hoax through the dark art of portraying everyday weather as The Worst Ever, is that only 2% of the public see the environment as a priority.
Issues the American people unsurprisingly do list as top priorities are the economy (15%), jobs/unemployment (16%), and healthcare (18%). And it is in all three of those areas where Obama's standing with the American people is in the dumpster. On the economy and healthcare, the president is upside down on approval 39-56% and 36-59% , respectively.
Just like they did with gun control in the wake of the Sandy Hook tragedy, to set Obama up for a win, the media will ignore what truly matters to the American people and fabricate a reality that claims the minimum wage, immigration, and income inequality are the most important issues in the history of the Republic. More than setting up Obama for a win, this tactic also seeks to intimidate Republicans into caving by way of the idea that THIS matters and America is against them.
It certainly makes sense for a failed president to stick to issues no one cares about because he thinks he can pull out a much-needed win. That's politics. But for a media that poses as objective to provide air cover is nothing short of propagandizing for your government.

PROGS CAUGHT ON TAPE MOCKING A PARAPLEGIC

The courageous and relentless James O'Keefe has done it again!
While investigating Obamacare Navigators, Battleground Texas, and their connection to Obama's Organizing for America, we caught some deeply offensive comments on tape.
It seems Battleground Texas and Wendy Davis' strategy to win the Governor's seat is to mock Attorney General Abbott's disability. We caught Davis supporters and Battleground Texas staff on tape making crude statement such as "isn't that amazing to think of? He's in a wheelchair and we want to stand with Wendy?"
Even more disturbing was an election official who when asked about forging signatures covered her ears and then went on to admit, "People do that all the time." A Battleground Texas volunteer then added, "I don't think it's legal but I didn't hear you say that."
Here is some info on Lisa Wortham of Battleground Texas.

This isn't the first time Battleground Texas has openly mocked Abbott's disability:
Battleground Texas, the Obama-run group of out-of-state political operatives, is leading the Texas Democrats' campaign to install Wendy Davis in the governor's mansion. Battleground Texas is supposed to fill the role of political pros blazing a trail for the Texas Democrat campaigns, who have not won anything statewide in Texas in a very long time.
Emails like the one Battleground Texas sent out Thursday will not make their difficult task any easier.

Get it!? Abbott has been in a wheel chair since he was 26 years old after a tree fell on him while running and paralyzed him from the waist down.
The email, or rather the silence so far regarding the email, raises another question: Where are the Texas media on the story? Surely Christy Hoppe, the Texas Tribune and other political reporters and outlets covering the campaign are on the Battleground Texas email list and received the email above. It went out Thursday afternoon, so they have had time to write up pieces about it. But where are those stories?
Battleground Texas' email flub isn't the first mistake that the error-prone Democrats have committed supporting Davis' campaign. On the day of her big announcement, Davis' first official campaign email included a link that was intended to go to her own campaign web site. But instead, it pointed to a site created to expose her record.
Davis introduced herself to Texas voters in a video that included iconic Texas imagery of cattle ranchers. But that video just highlighted the fact that when Davis had the chance to protect cattle ranchers from thieves by increasing the penalties for livestock theft, Wendy Davis voted with the thieves.
Moe Lane has a word of warning for all those who are foolish enough to associate with Battleground Texas:
What James O'Keefe has demonstrated here is that Battleground Texas isn't competent enough to make sure that anything told to them stays in confidence. If you are a Texas Democrat and you have ever spoken candidly to a Battleground Texas staffer, let this act as a not-friendly observation: you may have been recorded. You cannot trust any assurances from Battleground Texas that it did not happen in your case. And you had better hope that you didn't say anything stupid, vile, and/or prosecutable.
As it turns out, the Davis campaign can't even get it's response right:
The video released Thursday by Project Veritas purports to show footage from a meeting of Battleground Texas volunteers and another from a meeting of an Austin Democratic group. Shortly after its release, Davis, who was not in attendance at the meetings featured in the video, released a statement calling the language in it "abhorrent."
"Greg Abbott has persevered through great personal challenge to raise a family, have a productive career, and for that he deserves our respect," she said.
But in the very same article a couple of her desperate flunkies tried to make O'Keefe the villain:
Bo Delp, Davis' communications director, called the video one of O'Keefe's "trademark deceptive videos."
"O'Keefe is trying to create the impression that Wendy Davis attended this meeting and condones the language in this video," he said in a statement.
Battleground Texas spokesman Ellis Brachman said the video "says a lot more about Republicans than Battleground Texas: If they're desperate enough to use a well-known liar who has been repeatedly discredited by journalists, legal experts, and his own party to falsely attack us, they must be scared that voters are going to have a real choice at the ballot box this November."
So...which is it?  Were the comments "abhorrent" as Davis said or was this all an elaborate hoax by a "liar" as her minions claimed?  Watch the 3+ hours of raw footage here and decide for yourself.  And who are they to be accusing somebody else of lying in the first place?

Gutfeld: Real Hollywood Radicals Are Pro-Lifers
On the heels of comedian Sarah Silverman releasing a video in which she and Jesus - portrayed by actor Michael Weatherly, who plays Tony DiNozzo on the hit show "NCIS" - tout pro-choice policies, Fox News commentator Greg Gutfeld mused about how Hollywood would treat the abortion argument if they opposed it.
"You'd have a movie called 'Six Months a Fetus.' You'd have 'The Fetal Monologues,'" Gutfeld said Thursday on Fox News Channel's discussion show "The Five," which he co-hosts.
But don't expect any such productions, he said, because members of the "artistic class" are "a predictable cog in a machine that is designed to extract humanity from humanity."
A fetus is not really a living thing to them, he said, but "a tumor with fingers and legs who stands between you and your aspirations and career."
Artists like to portray themselves as living on the edge, Gutfeld said, "but the real radical rebel these days is a pro-lifer in pop culture."
Co-hosts Kimberly Guilfoyle, Eric Bolling, Dana Perino, and resident liberal Bob Beckel found the Silverman video in poor taste. Beckel said he left several pro-choice boards when he became a Christian and found it didn't square with his faith.

CHARLIE CRIST'S EARLY LEAD HAS EVAPORATED

Scott gains 10 points on Crist
PPP's newest look at the Florida Governor's race finds that it has tightened considerably over the last three months. What was a 12 point lead for Charlie Crist over incumbent Rick Scott in September at 50/38 is now just a 2 point advantage at 43/41.
The movement since the fall has come largely as a result of Republican voters rallying around Scott and continuing to decline in their affection for Crist. Scott now leads by 66 points with the GOP base at 80/14, compared to only a 44 point advantage on previous poll at 65/21. That shift with Republicans accounts for almost the entire 10 point movement in Scott's direction over the last few months.
It's not that Scott is becoming any more popular. His 34/51 approval spread is only slightly improved from 33/55 on our last poll, and it still puts him among the 6 most unpopular Governors in the country in our polling. But Crist's favorability numbers are really declining. In September he was on narrowly positive ground at 43/42, now he's dropped a net 11 points to 36/46. He's doing a good deal worse with both Republicans and independents than we've found in past polling.
Things were bound to start looking up for Scott because Florida is an evenly divided battleground state where close elections are routine.  There was never a chance that a creep like Charlie Crist was going to run away with it.  An improving local economy is helping, as it always does for incumbents.

Scott and the Florida GOP have also spent money on paid TV ads bashing Crist, a notorious RINO turncoat, as an "opportunist."  Also, the campaign and party have shifted focus and tied Crist closer to Obamacare, which likely helps drive voters farther away from Crist.

Another key factor in the rapid improvement for Scott is that there is no GOP in-fighting this time around.  Jeb Bush, who backed Scott's primary opponent in 2010, endorsed Scott for reelection in November:
Former Republican Gov. Jeb Bush endorsed Rick Scott for his second gubernatorial term Tuesday, saying he campaigned to get Florida's economy back on track and "delivered on that promise."
The endorsement is the latest signal Florida's GOP establishment -- which Scott bucked during his upstart 2010 campaign -- is now rallying around his re-election, Tallahassee.com reported.
"Rick Scott demonstrated leadership when Florida needed it most," Bush said.
"While President Obama and Democrats in Congress are fixated on penalizing success, Governor Scott is pursuing policies to restore prosperity for more Floridians while prioritizing core state responsibilities, including increasing the state's investment in education."
I'm not one of those who think Jeb Bush should jump into the 2016 presidential race.  I have no doubt that if he did, he would follow in the footsteps of McCain and Romney.  Having said that, however, his endorsement is very helpful and has facilitated a greater unity among Florida's GOP.

It's not the topline that's important, but the trend. Right now, the trend is toward Scott.

Michigan's Black Student Union delivers ultimatum: 'physical action' if school doesn't meet demands
Members of the University of Michigan Black Student Union said they would have to resort to "physical action" if a list of seven demands issued on Martin Luther King Day are not met within seven days, The Ann Arbor News reported.
"If negotiations are not complete we will be forced to do more, beginning to increase valiantly our activism for social progress and take physical actions on the University of Michigan’s campus," said senior Shayla Scales to a group of students gathered on campus, according to the Ann Arbor News.
The seven demands, read aloud by an activist associated with the union after a speech by entertainer and activist Harry Belafonte, included calls for more control over the Black Student Union's budget, more housing for lower-income students, a new multicultural student center, the requirement of classes teaching all students about the historical treatment of minorities, access to emergency scholarships for minority students, increased exposure to library materials and a requirement that 10 percent of the campus be represented by black students.
Besides the speech by Belafonte, who has recently compared conservative business leaders to the Ku Klux Klan at a rally for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, the social justice activist group By Any Means Necessary, which strongly advocates affirmative action policies, also rallied on campus, blocking traffic in the process.
"The BBUM campaign, as difficult as it was to hear, has been incredibly insightful. We hear you, and we are making changes," said University of Michigan president Mary Sue Coleman before Belafonte's talk, The Ann Arbor News reported.
Coleman, along with school provost Martha Pollack, had issued a three-pronged approach to address diversity at the school. The school plans to implement diversity and tolerance programming beginning next year, according to another report from The Ann Arbor News. A student-faculty committee is also being set up to address campus diversity.
Members of the student union who issued the seven demands for change would not specify what types of physical actions they planned to take, the Ann Arbor News reported.

Wendy Davis' ex-husband: "They've asked me not to talk to reporters"
Wendy Davis, the progressive movement's Texas darling because of her pro-late term abortion filibuster, is withering under revelations that much of her narrative of struggle and financial hardship is misleading at best, fabricated at worst.
The wagons are being circled around her with claims of a War on Women and sexism...all because the truth has come out via an interview with her husband by the Dallas Morning News, and other investigation.
The Wendy Davis campaign has been trying to keep Jeff Davis from speaking to the press for months. According to the Houston Chronicle article:
"They’ve asked me not to talk to reporters," Jeff said. He is anyway, because: "If she runs, the scrutiny on her will be extraordinary. She needs to deal with it in a constructive way. She needs to take control of the message... My goal in all this, I think, is just try and protect the kids as much as I can."
Now we know why.  Wendy Davis' personal and campaign narratives don't hold up to scrutiny.
