  1. Once again, as always, a really nice collection of articles to read. However, I'd like to especially focus and comment on the last one in this volume as it is a refreshing oasis, "College Football: America's Shared Culture". Yes, it's that special time again when football begins and gives us an enjoyable diversion from politics. Sports are in the fabric of and vital to the health of American culture. This article is well written and captures this essence. So embrace and enjoy the season football fans. It truly is a magical time.

As a die-hard Michigan fan, Alum and season ticket holder, I, of course, was delighted to see the 'Big House' photo headlining the piece! (Go Blue!) And, as you Moira are a die-hard Florida State fan and Alum, good luck to the 'Noles as Chief Osceola demonstrates to their opponents: "Fear The Spear!"
