THE NARRATIVE AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS

Threats to freedom of speech, writing and action, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect and, unless checked, lead to a general disrespect for the rights of the citizen. -George Orwell

EWTN THE WORLD OVER - JANUARY 8, 2015

In this week's EWTN The World Over, Raymond Arroyo reviews the headline news of the week, plus:

Islamic terror strikes in Paris. Are these isolated incidents or is there an evolving Jihadi war against the West? Raymond discusses the situation with Catholic League president Bill Donohue and Congressional anti-terrorism adviser Walid Phares.

Dr. Alveda King, director of African American outreach for Priests for Life and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King talks to Raymond about the recent racial tensions in Missouri and New York City, her take on the new film Selma and the uniquely "Christian nature" of her uncle's struggle for civil rights.

Raymond is joined by Garth Callaghan, who is currently living under his fourth bout with cancer. He is a husband and father, and the author of the new, heartwarming book Napkin Notes: Make Lunch Meaningful, Life Will Follow, in which he features lunchbox notes he's written to his now teenage daughter throughout his diagnosis.
