UCLA economist Tim Groseclose joins Glenn Reynolds to discuss race-based admissions in education. In his new book Cheating: An Insider's Report on the Use of Race in Admissions at UCLA Professor Groseclose proves that UCLA discriminates against Asian students to the benefit of black students. Complicating matters is the fact that white students are a minority at UCLA and there are no preferences at all for Latino students. Even worse, Vietnamese students are the most disadvantaged students at UCLA yet have no preferences in admissions. Is this legal? Is UCLA breaking the law? Find out.
